During the holidays, there’s nothing better than twisting up on the lounge chair with your friends and family, pouring a snowy mixed drink, and preparing for a Christmas movie marathon. There’s something to be said about catching aChristmasmovie on TV but sometimes the holiday mood strikes when nothing good is on television…or it’s the middle of summer. That doesn’t mean you should have to wait until December or dig up an old DVD to enjoy a holiday film! Luckily, Disney+ is here with feel-good Christmas films. This is the platform’s second Christmas season, and they know how to get everyone into the spirit.

Whether you’re looking for the warm blanket effect of a formulaic Lifetime movie, a Christmas classic, or a hidden gem that’s as fresh as fallen snow, these are the best Christmas movies to watch this holiday season.

10) 12 Dates Of Christmas: 6.3

Starring Amy Smart and Mark-Paul Gosselaar, 12 Dates of Christmas is a romantic comedy that follows Kate, a young woman who after a horrible blind date on Christmas Eve, wakes up to find she is re-living that same day and date all over again. It premiered on ABC Family on June 27, 2025, in their 25 Days of Christmas programming block. It is directed by James Hayman.

9) Noelle: 6.3

Noelle was released directly to Disney+ in 2019 and stars Anna Kendrick as Santa’s daughter Noelle always had to support and encourage her brother Nick, who was ordained to take over as Santa. When Nick disappears right before Christmas, Noelle goes on a funny and heartfelt journey to find him and, ultimately, what Christmas is really about.

The Santa Clause,starring Tim Allen, follows a story of a man that inadvertently makes Santa fall off of his roof on Christmas Eve, he finds himself magically recruited to take his place. Two sequels were made in 2002 and 2006 respectively, both are available on Disney+.

7) The Mistletones: 6.7

This story beautifully portrays the Christmas spirit, follows Holly, blessed with an amazing singing voice, is all set to audition for the newly vacated spot in a legendary local Christmas group which was founded by her late mother years ago. Shocked and upset when the slot goes to the barely talented best friend of the group’s leader, Marci, Holly sets out to create her own musical group, The Mistle-Tones. After challenging their rivals to a sing-off on Christmas Eve, Holly finds herself on a journey to the real meaning of Christmas with some new friends and a new love thrown in for good measure.

No one can forgetHome Alonestarring Macaulay Culkin because of how entertaining and fun to watch it was, and after the huge success of the prequel, no one can forgo Home Alone 2.

Kevin McCallister’s second Christmas adventure is just as entertaining as the first, but it takes place in New York City instead of Chicago. With his legendary booby traps and sophisticated tricks, Kevin protects himself and saves the New York toy store Marv and Harry were trying to rob.

A Christmas Carol is a 2009 American 3D computer-animated Christmas dark fantasy directed by Robert Zemeckis. It is a film adaptation of Charles Dickens’s 1843 story of the same name and stars Jim Carrey voicing Ebenezer Scrooge, the miser who travels in time to his past, present, and future.

4) Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas: 7.2

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmasis a Christmas classic to those who watched it as children. It is a Christmas themed, three-part anthology-style video.

The first part, “Donald Duck: Stuck on Christmas“, is essentially a retelling of Groundhog Day (1993), with Huey, Dewey, and Louie reliving Christmas ad infinitum. Next is “A Very Goofy Christmas“, in which Goofy tries to overcome his son’s skepticism about Santa Claus. Finally, “Mickey & Minnie’s Gift Of The Magi” recreates the classic tale of ironic Christmas selflessness.

3) Home Alone: 7.6

As we mentioned,Home Aloneis a Christmas classic. An eight-year-old troublemaker who must protect his house from a pair of burglars when he is accidentally left home alone by his family during Christmas vacation. This movie has some beautiful moments and is an entertainer.

2) The Muppet Christmas Carol: 7.7

The Muppet Christmas Carol is a retelling of the classic Dickens tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, miser extraordinaire. He is held accountable for his dastardly ways during night-time visitations by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and future. Gonzo gets to play Charles Dickens, and Kermit is the meek Bob Cratchit (among other characters).

1) Miracle On 34th Street (1947): 7.9

Dinsey+ has a classic version of Miracle On 34th Street. The film is an emotional glimpse into the act of believing. This movie beautifully portrays the story of a nice old man who claims to be Santa Claus is institutionalized as insane, a young lawyer decides to defend him by arguing in court that he is the real thing.
