Being an accomplished star in Hollywood comes with its own struggles, and actors often are asked to transform their physique into the required shape that the script demands. This has resulted in many celebrities settling down to Ozempic, to maintain the desired physique, includingTrainwreckstar Amy Schumer, who came clean about using the weight loss drug and its side effects.

The FDA-approved prescription medication, used for treating type 2 diabetes, is famous amongst Hollywood A-listers for its appetite-regulating effects. However, the drug comprises its fair share of setbacks, which eventually led Schumer to quit its usage completely.

Amy Schumer speaks out against Ozempic after facing its side effects
Amy Schumerhas been pretty outspoken about previously using Ozempic to lose weight and has asked her fellow celebrities to be honest about using the weight loss drug. Reflecting on its side effects, the American comedian claimed that investing in the type 2 diabetes medication made her pretty sick, preventing theTrainwreckstar to spend time with her son, Gene. Eventually, Schumer came to the conclusion that Ozempic wasn’t a“livable”drug for her, leading to her abandoning its usage. She said,
“I was one of those people that felt so sick and couldn’t play with my son. I was so skinny, and he’s throwing a ball at me and [I couldn’t]. Everyone and their mom is gonna try it. Everyone has been lying saying, ‘Oh, smaller portions. Like, shut the f–k up. You are on Ozempic or one of those things, or you got work done. Just stop.”

Amy Schumer isn’t alone in speaking out against the usage of Ozempic for losing weight, as fitness icon Mark Wahlberg also had a similar perspective on the matter.

Mark Wahlberg doesn’t encourage people to settle down to Ozempic
AlthoughMark Wahlbergdoesn’t question the people who settle down to type 2 diabetes medication to attain perfect results, he does believe in the old fashion way of losing and gaining pounds. Known for his extreme dedication toward his craft, thePain & Gainstar is no new to losing and gaining a substantial amount of weight to meet the requirements for his project. As a result, even after decades, the actor remains an inspiration to the fitness community, and Wahlberg encourages people to do it the right way. He stated,
“To each his own, but I do encourage people to eat right and exercise… I prefer, and I’ve seen lots of people accomplish amazing things, ordinary people doing extraordinary things on a fitness base, and they’re now encouraging other people that look like them. That’s what I’m into.”

But unlike Amy Schumer and Mark Wahlberg, not everyone in the entertainment industry is opposed to its use, and it doesn’t appear the usage of Ozempic is going to slow down anytime soon.
