Brie Larsontalked about what it was like to be out in public for her as an Oscar-winning actress andCaptain Marvel’s$1.12 billion box office success. What is surprising to find out is that the actress does not have trouble going incognito when she is out and about as she does not get recognized by people.

“If I’m checking out at the grocery store, I don’t get recognized,” Larson said on theWorking It Outpodcast.“I get, ‘Are you friends with my cousin?’ I am the classic face of ‘friend of your cousin.’”

When she is recognized, however, it would seem people aren’t able to place where they know her from, instead mistaking her for things like cousins of their friends. This is something Larson joked about, saying that she must have a classic ‘friend of a cousin’ face. While this lack of recognition might trouble some, theCaptain Marvelactress seems to prefer it this way.

What is Brie Larson’s Biggest Fear?

During this interview, Brie Larson also went on to talk about why she prefers not getting recognized. The actress stated that she would like to stay grounded and in reality, rather than getting swept away by stardom and what comes with that lifestyle.

“I want to be in reality. I love reality. It’s all I want,”she stated,“My biggest fear is to not be in reality. It matters so much to me,” Larson added. “I don’t wear super-flashy clothes when I’m out in the world because I want to stay in reality. I’m very good at confrontation in my relationships because I want to be in reality. I want to be in what’s as close to what’s true as possible.”

The actress went on to say that not being grounded in reality is one of her biggest fears. She stated that she does not wear flashy clothing and is good with confrontation for this sole reason. She does not want to get lost in the superficiality of the celebrity life.
