Attack on Titanended with the final episode released on June 08, 2025. After running for a decade, it ended on a glorious note, and fans have marked the anime as a masterpiece. Even though the manga ending was criticized, Hajime Isayama, the creator ofAttack on Titan, made a few changes, and the fans accepted it with open arms.

With Eren Jaeger immortalizing himself as one of the greatest characters to be ever made, Hajime Isayama’s magnum opus will be the talking of the anime fandom for some time. But one thing that might bring discomfort to the fans is that the end might not be the end. WithAttack on Titanhaving an open-ended finale, there might be more to it than it offers.

The finale was 85 minutes long and was a full detailed show of Eren Jaeger dismantling humankind to make the future of his friends secure. The fandom was grief-stricken and may have missed one of the crucial moments of the anime. During the post-credit scene, there was a boy and a dog that were going towards the underneath of the giant tree that Eren Jaeger was buried under.

If the fans could go back in time a little, they would remember that it was the same way Ymir Fritz first became the Founding Titan. Being treated as a slave her whole life, she ran away, and on her way, she stumbled and fell into a deep hollow underneath a giant tree. It was there that the ‘source of all living matter’ fused with her and created the whole titan timeline.
The tree at the end ofAttack on Titan‘s finale looked the same, and having reached the same girth led to the rumours that the end is actually the beginning of it. The boy with the dog might have the same fate as Ymir Fritz. Since it had an open end, these thoughts always come curling up. But these are all just speculations, and nothing has been officially confirmed.
