According to sources,Barbiealmost made $162 million on its opening weekend last week to become the highest-grossing domestic opening weekend movie of this year. To everyone’s surprise, Greta Gerwig’s fantasy movie managed to beat out all 3 Marvel movies released earlier this year on its first weekend by a far margin.Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Versewhich was released earlier this year in June managed to make $120.7 million on its opening weekend and is still the highest-grossing opening weekend superhero movie on the list.
