Cobra Kaiis based after 30 years of the originalKarate Kidfranchise. It follows the story of Daniel, Johnny, their families, and karate students. It features Johnny Lawrence, John Kreese, Terry Silver, Lucille LaRusso, and Chozen Toguchi from the original film.
The series was first released as YouTube Premium Original in 2018 and after two seasons Netflix acquired it and released the third season of the show. The third season received a good response and Netflix renewed for the fourth and fifth seasons.
The creators of the series have said that they are not planning to end it anytime soon. This can even hint toward the next season of the series. However, Netflix has not made any announcement about renewing the show for a sixth season.
