Code Geass: Z of the Recapturewas Announced in 2020

Code Geassis a Japanese anime television show created by Sunrise. The series was directed by Gorō Taniguchi and written by Ichirō Ōkouchi. It is set in a different timeline and centers on the banished prince Lelouch Lamperouge, who gains the “power of absolute obedience” from an enigmatic figure by the name of C.C. By using this supernatural ability, called Geass, he commands a string of robotic fights and spearheads an uprising against the Holy Britannian Empire.

Its sequel series,Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, ran as a simulcast on MBS and TBS from April to September 2008. The series has taken home numerous honors from the Animation Kobe event, the Animage Anime Grand Prix, and the Tokyo International Anime Fair.

Code Geass: Z of the Recapture

On June 18, 2025, Lelouch’s birthday, a new anime television series calledCode Geass: Z of the Recapturewas revealed. The show was set to air afterCode Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection 2. Yoshimitsu Ohashi was set to direct it, and Sunrise Studios was to produce it. However, the show was shelved and no information was revealed about the show until now.

Code Geass: Z of The Recapture, the upcoming game in the franchise, will release new information on July 30, 2025, according to information released on the officialCode Geasswebsite on July 20, 2025.

This video could provide an essential preview of the upcoming series and the storyline, new characters, etc.
