For the last few months there has been a wide-range of speculation as to whenDCEntertainment would launch their upcoming DC Universe streaming service. All points implied that it would be sometime this summer and now we know that this is accurate based upon an announcement from DC Entertainment community manager Dani Snow. According to Snow, the service will launch in late August and it will have a much wider range of content for fans to enjoy from comics, TV shows, and movies.

Snow made a guest appearance on the James Bonding podcast, to which she made the exciting revelation about the service at the 1:27:30 mark:
“We are about to launch [I think in late August], our DC digital platform which will be a hub for all things DC.”

Either way, DC die-hards will get to experience this service fairly soon and sometime within this summer. As previously stated within the podcast Snow stated that at the moment DC Entertainment is working on placing a majority of DC content from the back-catalog like movies and TV shows. So, it will be very likely that customers will get to relive the glory days of the DC Animated Universe withBatman The Animated Series, Static Shock,andJustice League Unlimited.
