The Ghost Train in Dead Rails turns fallen enemies into ghostly allies. Learn how it works, how much it costs, and if it’s worth the Bonds.
The Ghost Train is the latest and most expensive train in Dead Rails, priced at a hefty 325 Bonds. At first glance, it looks like a sleek, glowing version of the Passenger Train, but its true power is much more unique. Any enemy killed near the Ghost Train (except horses) will rise again as a temporary ally, attacking other enemies before vanishing. It’s not just cosmetic. This train can turn a town battle into a full-blown ghost army assault.

Whenever you or a teammate kills an enemy close to the Ghost Train, that enemy is revived as a ghost version that fights for you. The effect works on any enemies, including outlaws and monsters, as long as they die near the train. These ghost allies last about 20 seconds before disappearing.
It doesn’t matter who gets the kill; if it happens near the Ghost Train, you get backup.

Is the Ghost Train Worth It?
If you like taking on towns solo or surviving overwhelming waves, yes, the Ghost Train can turn a tough fight into a full-blown ghost war in your favor. Just keep in mind that the ghosts are temporary, and the train doesn’t offer more protection than the default models. It’s more of a high-risk, high-reward option for players who can keep enemies close. With a bit of strategy, this train can carry an entire run, all while looking like something out of a ghost story.
