Since the mid-1980s, theDragon Ballfranchise kept entertaining the anime fandom. At that point, it was stillDragon Ball, but later it went on to become a franchise. This anime franchise is one of the oldest and one of the most loved franchises in the whole world. Even though it entertained us with the great fighting scenes, character developments and, most importantly, the iconic Super Saiyan transformations, it has seldom delved into the path of Vegeta’s origin.

Vegeta was once introduced as a ruthless Saiyan who came to destroy Earth but later joined the Z Warriors and protected the planet. Considered to be one of the most legendary characters ever, alongside Goku, the creators have always kept his origin a secret. His father is known, but his mother is a mystery to every person of the anime fandom.
Who Is Vegeta’s Mother, The Queen of All Saiyans, InDragon Ball?
The Saiyans were originally from Planet Sadala. After it was destroyed, they moved to Planet Vegeta. King Vegeta ruled the Saiyans. His name was Vegeta, the Prince of all Saiyans. Vegeta later went on to become one of the greatest characters ever. But even after coming from such a great heritage, practically nothing is known about his mother.

After Vegeta settled down on Earth, Bulma once told Goku that Vegeta came from Planet Vegeta and was the son of King Vegeta. But nothing was ever said about his mother. The fans could assume that since he is the Prince of all Saiyans, his mother would have been the queen of all Saiyans.Dragon Ballfranchise never showed his mother and never revealed her name. In fact, Akira Toriyama, the creator ofDragon Ball, also never mentioned her.
Knowing about Vegeta’s mother could put some emphasis on how he was raised during childhood. Vegeta is prideful like his father, so there must be some aspect that he got from his mother. Introducing her could complete Vegeta’s origin story. How she developed him into being a Saiyan and how much he loved her are all a mystery for the fandom.

How Vegeta’s Mother Can Complete His Origin Story?
Vegeta is always portrayed as a self-loving and prideful personality. But it slowly changed after he settled down on Earth Bulma and raised two kids. It shows that behind all the self-love, there is another Vegeta who loves his close ones dearly and can feel empathy. Maybe this trait was passed down to him by his mother, but it got overshadowed by his father’s teaching, whom he mentions often.
The fans got to see Goku and Piccolo’s backstory, so naturally, they want to experience Vegeta’s backstory, too. TheDragon Ballfranchise often focuses on its fights and transformations. For once, if it changes its way and focuses on Vegeta’s mother, it will be great for the franchise. People could feel more connected to Vegeta’s character. For the moment, Vegeta’s mother is still a mystery. Only speculations surround her.
