Hugh Grant, the actor known for classic movies likeNotting Hill,Love Actually,and,The Gentlemen,was recently trolled for his statements regarding modern-day communication. Grant made a claim that most people felt was quite inappropriate even with regard to the Hollywood industry.

According to the actor, cell phones have essentially stopped actors from getting drunk on set and falling in love with each other. People took to Twitter to troll the 62-year-old actor for his views and even made some rude comments about the nature of Grant.

In this modern age of communication, actors simply don’t have time to chat with each other. Several reports and eyewitness claim that the actors simply go back to their personal lives and forget to communicate with each other on-set except the work.

Well, that is what Hugh Grant seems to think anyway since he has a different point of view than others. According to the actor, getting drunk and falling in love with each other on-set seemed to be the tradition before the introduction of cell phones. The actor even claimed that the current on-set conditions of Hollywood are a sorry sight to see since he stated that the sets are essentially“so weird now”.

That wasn’t all, since the people trolledHugh Grantfor his views and claimed that the statements were borderline offensive to people. They even went as far as to claim that the statements exactly sound like what a predator would say.

Although, Hugh Grant probably didn’t mean anything by it since he has been a hilarious person throughout his Hollywood career. The statements said were taken with a good sense of humor and Grant was just having fun.

In a recent interview, the actor chimed in that he would like to delete his IMDB page. He further added that there was a whole decade that was just the worst for him but one movie that takes the cake wasThe Lady and the Highwayman.
