Following the release ofMortal Kombat 1on Nintendo Switch, there has been an uproar over the poor visuals in the game. Unfortunately, that’s not all as the framerate drops have been pretty consistent as well, which has disappointed the fans a lot. Fans have now taken to social networking sites to share their experience about just how bad the game looks and feels, while comparatively, it looks stunning on the other two major consoles.

To have fans buy the game for $69.99 and then to have delivered a game that’s running at a lower-than-expected resolution, with framerate drops, has made fans absolutely bitter about Nintendo.

Fans Share Their Bitter Experience Playing Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1came out on the Nintendo Switch console earlier this week on the 14th to those who got early access, and fans have been sharing their disappointments over just how bad the game looks. The game officially releases a few days later on the 19th of this month and those waiting to play the game on the 19th must be furious.

Even if gamers consider Switch to be not as powerful as the other two modern consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, it still does not justify the nightmare of a visual on the Switch port. It looks even worse when compared side by side against the other two consoles as the world around the characters looks badly pixelated. Fans have even gone the length to compare the game to the Switch version of 2019, Mortal Kombat 11, statingMK1now looks worse thanMK11from four years back.

A lot of other gamers have been comparing the visuals of the game on the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, and it was evident just how bad the game looked on the Switch with facial reactions almost absent on the Switch version on almost all characters. The eyes have been found popping right out and with bad framerates, it’s a nightmare!

Fans have been roasting Nintendo about the bad visuals being worse than any PlayStation 1 game. At the same time, there was immense uproar over the price tag for the game being in line with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series console versions.

Switch Edition Compared Side-by-Side Against The Other Two Modern Consoles

A popular YouTuber,ElAnalistaDeBits, put up a video comparing the visuals side-by-side with the game running on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and the Nintendo Switch. The video highlighted the comparatively bad visuals and framerate drops. WhileMortal Kombat 1is a game that has to be experienced by gamers on every platform, the Switch port looks like it could have been avoided altogether until a better port or a tailor-made version was made for Nintendo’s only console.

John Linneman from Digital Foundry came up with his explanation on a Twitterpostwhere he says: “seem to be static and mostly unlit. So even in a dark scene, they’re blazing bright and staring straight ahead. It looks hilarious but seems fixable and I’m confused that it shipped this way”.

This could either be fixed with a patch or maybe even multiple patches. Nintendo cannot pull the game out from the store for a delayed release once they fix the glaring issues, as gamers who already pre-ordered the game cannot be kept waiting. For what it’s worth, gamers have mentioned the game does run fine, just not the way it was meant to be enjoyed by gamers.
