The Outer Worlds 2 will also be featured in the Xbox booth at Gamescom 2025. However, it will only have a theatrical showcase, meaning there will be no playable demo for the game.
Other Major Demos
Capcom, another major AAA game developer and publisher, also has some playable demos for its upcoming games. Notable standouts include Resident Evil: Requiem, Pragmata, and Onimusha Way of the Sword.

When is Gamescom 2025?
Gamescom 2025 will run from August 20 to June 21, 2025, in Cologne, Germany, at the Koelnmesse exhibition center. The event will begin with an invite-only Opening Night Live showcase on August 20, when some of the biggest announcements, world premieres, and surprise reveals are likely to set the tone for the remainder of the week.
Starting August 21, the public will gain access to the show floor, where they will be able to test demos, meet developers, and see the future of gaming firsthand. Physical and online livestream viewing will be available for global audiences.
