Matt Damon is one of the most well-recognized and talented actors in Hollywood. The actor, producer, and screenwriter have seen many achievements throughout his career, including four Acadamy Award nominations and one win in the category of Best Original Screenplay for his film,Good Will Hunting.
Having seen the very heights of success, it is only natural that the actor has done his fair share of interviews. While doing one for his recent film,Oppenheimer,Damon shared some very strong opinions he has towards two of the most famous talk show hosts in the film industry.

Matt Damon States That Jimmy Fallon Is Better Than Jimmy Kimmel
WhileMatt Damonwas doing press for his recent film,Oppenheimer,alongsideThe Quiet Placeactress, Emliy Blunt, the two were asked if they thought that Jimmy Fallon was better than Jimmy Kimmel. While Blunt took a second to think, Damon was very quick to agree, yelling out‘fu*k Kimmel’, which left Blunt completely awestruck.
“Oh my god no!”She exclaimed,“Come on, I gotta fight for Kimmel here.I think there is a little bit of bitterness, right? I have to fight for Kimmel though cause he used to be my neighbor.”She stated.
The actress sarcastically stated Damon was showing some bitterness toward the talk show host. Blunt mentioned that she had to defend Kimmel as the two had been neighbors at some point so she felt that she was obligated to, while Damon stated that he preferred Fallon as‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’as he put it.

Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel’s Feud
While this interaction may confuse a few, the feud between Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon is very well-known in the film industry. Even though the entire thing is a joke, it has entertained the audiences of the two thoroughly ever since it started during the third season ofJimmy Kimmel Live!,when on a whim to entertain the producers, the talk show host stated that he wanted to apologize to Damon for not having enough time to interview him. Kimmel revealed that there was no apparent reason that he chose the Oscar-winning actor, his name was simply the first that popped into his head.
“I decided to say, for the amusement of one of our producers who was standing next to me…’I want to apologize to Matt Damon. We ran out of time’…And he got a kick out of it, the producer, so I just started doing it every night to amuse him.”He went on,“Matt Damon was just the first name that popped into my head. I was trying to think of an A-list star and somebody we absolutely would not bump if he was on the show”
This became a funny little gag and sort of an inside joke between a few, becoming even more funny when Damon was actually on the show and Kimmel stated the same thing again, this time in front of him. This resulted in a hilarious staged fight that ended with Damon cursing as he left. The two have kept this up for years now, constantly finding newer and more creative ways to get back at each other.
