With that, he has once again proved that his acting skills are just getting honed with time. His potential was recognized when he donned the iconic superhero suit to portray Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films.

As we all know him all too well, he once revealed in an interview about his experience filming in Atlanta alongside Chris Evans. It was quite contrasting to one another since the former enjoyed watching the latter suffer in the scorching sun while he enjoyed the cool breeze.

In a 2015 appearance onJimmy Kimmel Live, Chris Evans andRobert Downey Jr.made an appearance and shared their experience working in the scorching heat in the month of July in Atlanta to shootCaptain America: Civil War.

The titular actor went first to share his experience stating two words,“hot and sticky”that would perfectly define the climate condition at the time.

But, his co-star had quite a different experience as he jokingly shared,

“It was beautiful, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

He further described why his version of Atlanta was different from Evans’s.

“I was either in a lovely, sprawling, rented home or an air-conditioned helicopter. I mean, I did see you on the tarmac doing action for six months, but you see, once the helmet closes, I’m not there.”

Well, that was quite a petty way to annoy his co-star, it didn’t just end at it since he also exclaimed enjoying watching the former suffer while filming the 2016 film.

Downey Jr. further talked about the intense action sequences that his co-star had to perform in that film which highly impressed him.

“Evans is a very, very capable guy. I mean…I saw a wild amount of action that you perform.”

While Evans was getting used to compliments, the Iron Man star threw in a hilarious punchline sharing,

“But I really just wanted to come to set up my days off and watch you suffer.”

Well,The Gray Manactor couldn’t agree with him more sinceCivil Waris the third installment in theCaptain Americaseriesbeing headlined by the 42-year-old actor.

Kicking off Phase 3 of the MCU, the 2016 film was a huge commercial success earning over $1.1 billion worldwide. Due to the positive feedback from the critics and moviegoers, it ended up becoming the highest-grossing film of that year.

Meanwhile, a fourth film,Captain America: Brave New Worldis scheduled for release in May 2024. This film will feature Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as Captain America which will follow the events ofThe Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
