How to Change Font Size Only in Text Messages

Both Android and iOS offer easy ways to change the overall font size of the UI. But you may want to change the font size for text messages only. Thankfully, you may make the text bigger or smaller in the Messages app leaving the rest of the UI as it is. Here’s how.

Change Text Messages Font Size on Android

Open any chatin the Message app of your phone. Then,use the pinch gestureto change the font size. That is, pinch in using two fingers to decrease the font size and pinch out on the screen to increase the font size.

On iPhone, you can change the font size of any supported app from theControl Centerusing the text tile as shown below.

1.Open theMessages appon your iPhone.

2.Now, openControl Centerand tap on theaA icon.If it’s not there, go to iPhoneSettings > Control Centerand tap thegreen plus iconnext to Text size to add it to Control Center. Once added, tap on it from the Control Center.

3.Tap onMessages Onlyandslide up or down on the sliderto increase or decrease the font size in the Messages app. Then, tap anywhere on the empty space and return to the Messages app. You will see the text size has changed in the iPhone Messages app only.
