Is the Path of Exile 2 Early Access Free
Path of Exile 2 full launch is afree-to-play, similar to its prequel. However, you need to spend some money to play the early access version. Players can get an early access key by purchasing one of the six supporter packs. The packs start at $30 (Early Access Supporter Pack) and increase gradually for higher-tier packs.
In addition to access, these packs provide exclusive cosmetics, pets, titles, badges, and even physical goods. You can also use the points from the packs in the in-game shop to purchase exclusive cosmetic items. You can also upgrade from lower-tier to higher-tier packs even after purchasing. As early access is expected to last around six months, these packs will be available throughout the phase. As Grinding Gear Games has declared:
“As long as needed. We believe it will be at least 6 months.”
Grinding Gear Games has also announced that the early access key will be shared with players who have already purchased a top-tier supporter pack or spent at least $480 USD on microtransactions in Path of Exile on a single platform. To quote Grinding Gear Games:
“If you’ve purchased a top-tier supporter pack in the past or have spent $480 USD or more in lifetime purchases in Path of Exile on a single platform, you’ll automatically have access to Path of Exile 2.”
