The Brushes With Death DLC in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is the latest addition to the game, which introduces the painter Voyta.
Warhorse Studios officially released theBrushes with Death DLCon August 14, 2025. It is the first of many upcoming content planned forKingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The DLC in question adds more hours to the already massive world of KCD 2 and introduces a new character named Voyta, a strange painter.
To meet him through the Brushes with Death questline, players will first have to meet some requirements and go through the Sketchy Situation quest. For your convenience, here’s a complete walkthrough of it.
How To Complete the Sketchy Situation Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To access the Sketchy Situation quest, players will have to complete theFor Whom the Bell Tollsstoryline first. After doing so, you will spot a purple marker for the quest towards the southeast part of the Trosky Castle. Then, you can go to the location of the marker on foot, but we suggest taking your horse.
Once you reach the area, you will instantly find a mysterious fellow tied to a tree. This man is the new character, Master Voyta, the painter. As you approach him, a cutscene will trigger, and you will see that this man is speaking to a human skull. Henry will then, of course, offer his help to the strange man, but this notion will soon be hindered by a pair of wolves.
Now, you’re able to simply kill the animals. But if you want theLent Trophyin the game, then you must resort to your fists. After dealing with the wolves, release Voyta from his confines and speak to him. The painter will then ask you to retrieve some of his possessions from the thieves who stole them. These items include three dice and a set of brushes.
Get Master Voyta’s Items Back
To find the perpetrators, go to Troskowitz and head towards the marker on the southeast. There, you will find Yuri and Clovis in a camp. Now, in true RPG fashion, there are multiple ways to accomplish your task. The first approach is to simply take the items from their bodies after beating them up. Alternately, if you are a pacifist, you can also speak to them and pass a Skill Check to get what you want.
If you have chosen the more peaceful way, then after the skill check you will have to do certain tasks. More specifically, you will have to defeat Yuri in a shooting contest and Clovis in a game of dice.
After getting Voyta’s belongings one way or the other, report back to him in Trosky Castle. He will be in a room on the top floor of the left wing of the building. The painter will then give you the three dice as your reward and offer to teach you how to paint shields.
