Known for some of the most bold and never-before-witnessed performance choices in the film industry, people assumeHalle Berrycan take on pretty much anything. And although it’s true, the extent of her radical decisions most go as far as the realm of acting, which is not the only thing that goes on when creating a film.

She learned this the hard way when she was actually given charge of supervising an entire film project that almost brought her to the brink of collapse.
In the past, the actress opened up about the time she played the role of Dorothy Dandridge in the 1999 biopic drama filmIntroducing Dorothy Dandridge.HBO put her in charge of supervising the entire project since the film was proposed by her in the first place. And although she thought that she was up for it, it soon proved to be one of her biggest nightmares.

Berry was in charge of making sure that everything that went on set was flawless, which was easier said than done. She talked about how this experience almost brought her to her knees, saying:
“[HBO] just said, ‘Yes, we’ll take a chance.’ Then the fear of God set in, At any given moment I’d break out in a hot flash and think, ‘Oh my God, can I do it?’ I’m so used to relating to actors as my comrades, but this time I had actors coming to me saying, ‘I don’t like my trailer,’ ‘I’m not getting enough money.’ I tried to deal with things as diplomatically as I could, but when someone would gripe to me I’d say, ‘I’ll be right back,’ and I would literally go away, throw up, come back, and say, ‘OK.’”

Although she may have gone through such a harrowing experience, the result in the end more than made up for the hardships that she went through.
