Brad Pitt is renowned throughout the world. Whether it is for his acting, his dashing looks, or his notorious affairs, there is rarely anyone who may not know of him. His movies have often hit the peak of the box office and some of his roles are even extremely iconic; giving worth to his name even more.

Having done so many incredible roles, his career has been an ever-rising path to stardom. Even when he wasn’t as big of an actor, all those who got a chance to work with him recognized his talent. However, one particular role had him questioning whether or not he did well. Ironically enough, the role got him his first Oscar nomination and gave him a massive spotlight.

Brad Pitt Hated What He Did With His12 MonkeysRole
Brad Pittsaw a drastic change in his career after he did12 Monkeys.The movie gave him the spotlight he so desperately deserved and his work has since been a rising success. Starring him and Bruce Willis, the movie got a lot of praise and even managed to get Pitt his first-ever Academy Award nomination. However, he did not like his performance as much as the rest of the world did.
“I nailed the first half of ’12 Monkeys.’ I got the second half all wrong.”

Despite being very proud of his work in the first half, the actor could not get himself to like how he worked in the second half of the movie. Although his performance was one that was highly acknowledged by many, he was not one of them. He saw a change in his character he just could not deal with and no matter how hard he tried, it was not something he came to understand either.

Brad Pitt Thought the Second Half of The Movie Was a Trap
Brad Pitt noticed how his character was not the same in the first and second half of the movie and it was something he could not quite get used to. The wildness of his character was unusual to him and enacting the essence of that was not possible for him.
“That performance bothered me because there was a trap in the writing. It’s not the writing’s fault, but it was something that I couldn’t figure out. I knew in the second half of the film I was playing the gimmick of what was real in the first half — until the last scene — and it bugged the [expletive] out of me.”

Even with the problems he faced, he gave an outstanding performance which was heavily loved by many people including critics. The way he acted was not how he intended for the movie to go and his vision was perhaps much different.
