Priyanka Chopra recalls a dehumanizing moment on the sets of a film
In an interview withThe Zoe Report,Dwayne Johnson’sBaywatchco-star opened up on a terrifying and dehumanizing moment in her life. Chopra revealed she was working with an unnamed Bollywood filmmaker, who made her extremely uncomfortable.
The Matrix Resurrectionsstar said,
“This may have been 2002 or 2003.”
“I’m undercover, I’m seducing the guy — obviously that’s what girls do when they’re undercover. But I’m seducing the guy and you have to take off one piece of clothing [at a time].”
“I wanted to layer up [but] the filmmaker was like, ‘No, I need to see her underwear. Otherwise, why is anybody coming to watch this movie?’”
The actress revealed that an unnamed Bollywood filmmaker has asked her to show her underwear during her initial acting days.
Chopra added,
“He didn’t say it to me. He said it to the stylist in front of me. It was such a dehumanizing moment. It was a feeling of, ‘I’m nothing else outside of how I can be used, my art is not important, what I contribute is not important.’”
Priyanka Chopra shared that she left the project after two days and paid the production crew for the money lost because of her. She said she could not look at the director everyday at the shoot.

Priyanka Chopra reveals reason for Quitting Bollywood
Priyanka Choprahas been doing Hollywood TV shows and movies since 2015. The actress is quite appreciated for her action roles and spot-on expressions. The beautiful star left her Bollywood career almost a decade ago, and she revealed the reason in a podcast a few months ago.
On being asked about not doing Bollywood projects anymore, the actress said on the Dax Shepherd’sArmchair Expertpodcast,
“I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break.”
Then the actress started focussing her singing career, which got her noticed in Hollywood and landed her acting roles.
“This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I didn’t want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require groveling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it. So when this music thing came I was like ‘f–k it, I’m going to America.’”
Chopra has played leading roles in major TV shows likeQuanticoandCitadelalongside Richard Madden in 2023.
