Emma Stone Has No Idea Why She Was Chosen for the Role

Of course, there would have been a ton of aspirants who had their eyes set on the prize. No one wanted to let this golden opportunity slide off from their hands. However, only one of the many could bag the role of Gwen, and that was Stone. While we now know that the actress was the perfect choice for the role, in more ways than one, Stone had her doubts.

When asked how and why she was the one to get selected, Stone stated that she was pretty confused about it herself.

“I ask myself that question every day. I have no f–king idea. It’s the most amazing idea, I can’t even tell you. I don’t think I ever will figure out how it happened. It’s been mind-blowing. I know things will eventually change, so I’m just trying to avoid thinking about it and just enjoy it while it’s happening.”

We are pretty sure all the confusion in Stone’s mind was cleared when the positive feedback started flooding in. Even today, fans cannot help but rave about her portrayal of the character.
