Vincent D’Onofrio wants to face off Spider-Man
Vincent D’Onofriowill be reprising his role as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin whenDaredevil: Born Againdebuts in 2024. After his brief appearance as Kingpin in the MCU, the sixth episode ofHawkeyeto be more specific, he is excited to work on the new Daredevil project. He also not-so-secretly hopes to finally get a chance to face off againstTom Holland‘s Spider-Man on the battlefield. Previously on GalaxyCon, the actor stated,
“Eventually, I will beat Spider-Man’s a**–All of them. I mean, it’s obvious that Punisher, Daredevil, and Spider-Man are the ones that my character is tied to in the comic books. But there’s plenty of room for others, I can just only hope that that happens. But I mean, Spider-Man definitely. I think that would be really really fun.—I want to see it as much as anybody,”

After months, he again made a follow-up statement at the Fans Expo in Philadelphia, held on June 2nd stating,
“There may be a sea of people between us right now but I’m gonna get you mother f–ker”

His statement led many to believe they can expect the Kingpin to make an appearance in the untitled Spider-Man 4 movie. Although it is currently on halt because of the ongoing writer’s strike, Tom Holland’s uncertain remarks regarding the latest installment have made fans a bit worried.

Will Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin be inSpider-Man 4?
Tom Holland himself wasn’t so sure about his return to the fourth part, given the massive success ofNo Way Homeworldwide. Holland thus presented Sony and Marvel with a condition stating if they don’t find a way to top what happened previously, he will not be returning. Lo and behold, it looks like the script did not quite as well disappoint the actor, as he claimed,
“Whether or not it’ll come to fruition, who knows?–But right now it’s looking pretty good, and we’ll just have to wait and see.”
Therefore, Kingpin is one big plot point they can incorporate, the fans speculate. Other projects, such as the Disney+Hawkeyeseries, have included a few Easter eggs which reference the possibility of Spider-Man fighting Kingpin.
All of the MCU people are excited that Spider-Man and Kingpin will have a chance to be seen, regardless of the end result. After witnessing their fight inSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verseand other comics, video games, and other platforms, the only thing that remains is the transition of that battle to reality. Thus, fans are waiting eagerly along with Vincent D’Onofrio to see what is in store for them.
