Jamie Foxx revealed that he couldn’t walk due to his medical condition
ActorJamie Foxxrecently appeared at the Critics Choice Association’s Celebration of Cinema & Television Honoring Black, Latino & AAPI Achievements, marking his first public appearance at an award show since his hospitalization. After receiving the Vanguard Award for The Burial (2023), the actor revealed (viaCNN),
“You know, it’s crazy, I couldn’t do that six months ago – I couldn’t actually walk,”adding,“I’m not a clone, I’m not a clone. I know a lot of people who were saying I was cloned out there.”
During the emotional speech, he explained that he wouldn’t wish the condition even on “his worst enemy.” The actor still did not reveal what he was hospitalized for, but by the looks of it, it appears that the actor is now recovering.

In April 2023, Foxx’s daughter Corinne revealed to his fans that he had been hospitalized after an unspecified medical emergency. At the time, the nature of his condition was unclear as his daughter claimed he was recovering, however, multiple reports claimed that he was suffering from something serious.
In July, Foxx posted a video giving an update, revealing that he had been to “hell and back” because of the condition. In November 2023, Foxx was sued by a woman who accused him of sexual assault in 2015. A representative for Foxx claimed that “the alleged incident never happened,” and added that they are confident that the case will be dismissed.
