Netflix’sOne Pieceis one of the most successful series ever to grace us, considering Hollywood’s lousy reputation when it comes to adapting anime into live-action movies and shows. Thanks to the cast of the show, fans were able to watch such a delightful piece of media. In an interview, the Sanji actor, Taz Skylar spoke about how he would prepare himself for the fight and stunt scenes of the character.

What did Taz Skylar say about the stunt scenes of Sanji in Netflix’s One Piece?
It was before the SAG-AFTRA strike that Taz Skylar spoke in an interview withSquare Mileabout the role of Sanji. He said that before any fight or stunt scene, he would try his best to get in the character and shape up for the camera.
“Every single fight is mine. I made it my business,”Skylar shared.“My official stunt double, Stewey was so proud of me. He always said if you’re able to do them, they’re yours.”

Skylar’s most prominent trait about Sanji’s role isn’t his kicks. There were a plethora of clips that were posted on the internet. It delved into the training and hard work the star poured into the role. He opened up about reading every comment to use them as motivation. As the filming session started, Skylar put himself in the zone with Sanji; he made every meal and fought his business on set.
“We had a kitchen on set, so on my lunch breaks, I’d get into Sanji’s chef costume, and I’d cook. We’d try to do high-end spins on basic dishes from the anime,”he shared.

His dedication to the series made it delighted and was one of the things that people adored about the actor.

What did Taz Skylar say regarding Netflix’s One Piece?
In an interview withColliderbefore the release of the live-action adaptation, Taz Skylar put his opinion about the series and said,“I’d like it to go for exactly as long as it takes to feel like it’s come to an ending that all of us are happy,”
Considering how vast the anime and manga ofOne Pieceare, packing over 1000 iterations, it’s almost impossible to incorporate the same thing into a live-action.

“I want everybody to be proud of where we end up ending. I don’t want it to end short, and I don’t want it to run long. That’s my ideal.”Rather than focusing on the distant future of the series, we have an upcoming season 2 to enjoy. It would be intriguing to join the Straw Hats in their future endeavors and adventures.
