However, one of the main factors behind the hype of Aster’s upcoming work is the inclusion of one of this generation’s most brilliant actors, Joaquin Phoenix, at its forefront.

While Speaking with The New York Times, theMidsommardirector didn’t hold back while expressing his respect forJoaquin Phoenix. Aster went on to commend theJokerstar for his extreme dedication toward his role and said that Phoenix is ruthlessly investigative while filming his scenes. Following the actor’s physical determination to the script, the director has nothing but praise for the actor. He said,
“Joaquin is ruthlessly investigative. If something feels false or not right, he won’t be able to do it. It’s not even about him refusing to do something, his body will stop him.”
Joaquin Phoenix also didn’t back away from praising Aster for his immaculate skills as a filmmaker and expressed that they both brought out the best in each other. Following their respect for each other, it seems that the upcoming movieBeau is Afraidmight not be the last time the two would come across each other.

“Sometimes it’s as simple as I could be around you for four months because I like the way you talk about these characters. And I can see that you have a willingness to push yourself, and to be pushed and to push back, and that’s exciting to me.”
