Not all of these cars get as much love as the rest of them though. Cena surely has his favorites. However, his Plymouth Superbird got both his positive attention and negative. On one hand, he stands extremely proud of his car and how tall it stands in his collection. On another hand, he is not fond of how it cannot survive in the city streets.

John Cena Cannot Take His Plymouth Superbird Out In The Streets

The Plymouth Superbird was built to ride on NASCAR tracks. The speed it reach was one which was mesmerizing. Richard Petty was the signature driver of the car and he brought it to recognition, to the extent that Plymouth was even forced to create the model that would later come intoJohn Cena‘s collection.

“[it] handles like s**t because it was built to go around a NASCAR track, so all the aerodynamics don’t even kick in till you’re going 150 miles an hour.”

The updated model had a Road Runner body which was supported by a shark nose and wing. Although the car was later banned from the race tracks, years later the car came into Cena’s hands. However, he had his own issues with the car that was originally designed by a rocket scientist.

John Cena Could Not Speed Through City Streets With His Plymouth Superbird

John Cena talked about how it is a great experience to ride his car, whether or not the aerodynamics work in smaller durations without speed. He can always attract a crowd. The crowd might even be attracted because of the celebrity in front of them. However, it was the beautiful car that managed to collect a bunch of people and leave an impression.

He is pained by the fact that the real mechanism, the one that is the real thrill of the car cannot be reached until the car hits 150 miles an hour. That was something he knew that he was getting into when he was buying a car purely made to conquer the tracks of NASCAR.
