Charlie Hunnam has been in the industry since the mid to late ’90s. But he shot to the top of the A-listers list with his role as Jax Teller onSons of Anarchy.Though the actor would have already risen to fame in 2002, unfortunately, things didn’t work out for him then.
Fans always tied him to the DC’s Green Arrow, which he also confirmed that Hunnam was offered to play. But the Hollywood star didn’t star in the film just because he saw the picture of the DC character and doubted if it would suit him.
Anyway, there’s another popular franchise that he would have almost starred in. It’sStar Wars. The actor auditioned for the role of Anakin Skywalker inStar Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clonesin 2002. But it was George Clooney who rejected him out of the role.

It’s literally the most random trivia that’s never been heard of fromCharlie Hunnamthat he auditioned for the role of Anakin Skywalker inStar Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones(2002).
But Hunnam himself blew the gaff on this in an exclusive interview withETwhen the host asked Hunnam if it’s true that he auditioned for the role. To this, the actor replied, “Yes, it’s true.”He continued that he did meetGeorge Lucasyears ago, adding:
“I got to the point where I was like meeting George Lucas, which I don’t think he meets a lot of actors, there was probably maybe 2-3 actors they were considering. I don’t remember much about it, I remember that I nervous, I just remember little much walking out thinking I’m definitely not getting that role, and I was correct. It’s about the vibes.”
Anyways, the role later went on to Hayden Christensen. This role gave him immense popularity.

Roles that Charlie Hunnam Missed Out on
It’s already well known that Charlie Hunnam was the first actor to be cast and confirmed to star as Christian Grey inFifty Shades of Grey. Though he backed out of the role weeks later.
But now it’s also revealed that his name was almost tucked with another big-label movie (inStarWars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones), too. Though these films aren’t the only ones, it turns out he almost starred in quite a few other big-name movies.
He also auditioned for the lead role ofThor, whichlater went to Chris Hemsworth. Jason Segel wrote the role of Aldous Snow for him in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. But, the England native declined, feeling he couldn’t do it justice. And Russell Brand eventually took on the role.
