Emma Watson’s Teacher Deserves Thanks for Iconic Hermione Role
Emma Watson was a great pick for Hermione. According to an interview clip posted on Instagram posted byHarry Potterpage, the actress said that she was about nine when she“started auditioning”for the film series.
She was“already a very big fan of the books.”So, there’s this rumor started going around her“school that there were these auditions for Harry Potter and they were coming to school.”In the clip, the young Watson continued:

“My school teacher called Mr. Hancock who has now left. Got, I think, a note, a letter saying, ‘if there’s any kids in school that you think could act in the Harry Potter film, would you mind them auditioning?’ And then, I had to go through a lot of auditions. So, I listened to him. Walk in.”
And that’s how the perfect Hermoine was cast. But it doesn’t mean it was all easy for Watson. She definitely had to go through some challenges.

“Never stepped in a film set in my life. Never acted professionally before. And then you walk onto this enormous set with hundreds of crew. It’s not easy. I thought it would be so much easier. I thought it would be, you know, sort of couple of takes.”

It’s obvious that Hermoine’s role came up with several hardships. Never in her life was the actress related to filming and auditions, and that’s why it has become like opening a can of worms for her. Yet everything proved to be worth it in the end.
