Sandra Bullock Thought of Quitting Acting
After receiving BFA in Drama,Sandra Bullockmade her way to New York City. While studying Method acting under Sanford Meisner, Bullock also started working as a bartender to support herself at the same time. Although she was able to land parts in shows, Bullock was not sure if she was headed in the right direction.
TheProposalstar has admitted that she didn’t even know how to“mix any fancy drinks.”It was her customers who helped her at the time.“The customers helped me,”she would later admit. At the same time, she continued visiting casting offices, hoping to land something big.

However, after several fruitless rounds to the office, she started losing faith and decided that she would do this for one more year only. The Oscar winner shared that she started losing control over herself, leading her to think of stopping pursuing a career in Hollywood.
“There was only one time when I said I was going to quit this business, in my early 20s,”she shared.The Blind Sideactress shared that she gave herself one more year to make it work, and she did not think that she would be able to gain what she aimed for. Sandra Bullock Did Not Want to Continue in Hollywood
After starring in a dozen films and TV shows, Sandra Bullock finally got her big break in the 1994 filmSpeed. As she made her way into the industry, the actress featured in some superhit and some flop films. However, it was not the ups and downs of her career that brought back the thought of quitting the industry.
She was surprised by the way women were treated in Hollywood. Bullock shared that she started questioning her worth after seeing how women were treated a lot differently than men. The whole situation once again led her to think about leaving the industry.

“I didn’t want to be a part of that world where there was that experience,”she said. Although things were hard, Bullock stood her ground and continued her journey to become one of the most notable stars in Hollywood.
