James Gunn clearly has a lot of plans for the DCU, but he has now confirmed that the DC games don’t necessarily have to be part of the DCU.

How Have DC Games Fared Over The Years?

The advent of superheroes over the past several decades has given rise to video games as well. After all, fans simply love to feel as if they are superheroes themselves. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that there have been many DC games out over the years.

That said, most DC games have seen mixed responses, with some being abysmal – especially the likes ofSuperman 64. Thankfully, that changed after Rocksteady’s Batman games were released, with 2009’sBatman: Arkham Asylumblowing every single superhero game out of the water and setting a standard for games in general. James Gunn Confirmed DC Games Don’t Have To Be Part Of The DCU

James Gunn previously revealed the DCU will incorporate other media including video games in the future, but that doesn’t necessarily mean every game under the DC banner will have to be related to the DCU.
