As reported inMCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios,Kevin Feigeresisted the idea of castingTim RothEmily Blonsky/ The Abomination inThe Incredible Hulk. However, Louis Letterier, the director of the 2008 film wanted to cast the actor in the role of The Abomination as he felt that the casting of theLie to Meactor saved the film from looking like a campy self-parody.

Despite the idea, Kevin Feige was not fully on board as he wanted to cast a renowned name to be cast as the main villain of the film. However, the director and the actor convinced Kevin Feige to make the final call. The decision turned out to be the right one as Roth embodied the role, and the Marvel Studios’ President thanked Letterier for convincing him to cast the actor in the film.

“I liken the Abomination thing to an independent movie. It was a very big-budget independent movie.”

Even though Roth was not showcased in any other Marvel Cinematic Universe films, his second feature was inShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law,his presence was surprising which made the fans happy with his return. The actor also had a short feature in 2021’sShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Moreover, the idea sounds too good to be true, but if the franchise gives a green light to the idea, they must come up with a suitable explanation of their return it will only make the idea an eye-sore.
