John Leguizamo was replaced by Michael Keaton inSpider-Man: Homecoming
The world sawMichael Keatonplay the role of Adrian Toomes aka the Vulture. Keaton played the character of the antagonist in the 2017 movie, starringTom HollandandZendaya. During an interview,John Leguizamospoke about the time he was offered the role of the vulture for the action-adventure Marvel movie. Reportedly, theSpunactor was all set to play the negative character inSpider-Man: Homecoming,but unfortunately, Keaton accepted the role. While talking about missing the chance of working as a villain in the Marvel movie, the 62-year-old actor said,
“We had negotiated and I was about to play him and then they said that Michael Keaton wanted it back. They asked me if I would give it up and I said, ‘Well, okay, I guess,’ and they said, ‘No, we’ll work with you again…’ so that’s what happened there.”

The makers of the action-adventure movie also had another part in the pocket for theSistersactor. Leguizamo stated the makers came back to him with a very small part to play in the movie but he wasn’t interested in it.

Michael Keaton found his character Vulture very interesting
For theBirdmanactor, his evil character is a little bit relatable, who describes Vulture as an interesting character. The 71-year-old actor also thinks that people will be able to see his character Adrian Toomes’s perspective through his character. While talking about the Vulture, Keaton said,
“He’s a really interesting — and more interesting than I thought — villain because there’s parts of him that you go, You know what? I might see his point. Then I’m glad to say, they kind of shifted the scheduling and it worked out. So it fit in and I’m glad I did it.”
