The Marvel and Sony universes have been slowly but surely edging toward an event that could very well be the culmination of the Sinister Six. The arc of the web-slinger has been the most beloved of them all. With Tobey Maguire’s 2002 live-action launch, the fandom surrounding the character only ever increased with the years. However, even with the three versions of the IP, 8 films between them, and roughly just as many villains, one of the most feared and sinister of all Spider-Man arcs: the group that goes by the name, Sinister Six, is yet to make an appearance in any of them. WithSpider-Man 4now coming up, talks have begun surfacing in and around the rumor mill about that fault being rectified by the Marvel bosses as soon as the fourth installment gets up and running.
With Michael Mando’s rumored appearance as Scorpion now seeking to make it right by the fandom, this may as well be the epicenter of the long-awaitedSinister Sixmovie for the successfully running Sony/Marvel partnership.
