What Are Event Quests in Monster Hunter Wilds?

Event Quests are special, limited-time hunting missions that rotate on a weekly basis, with some lasting one week and others staying for two weeks or more. The main appeal of Event Quests is their exclusive rewards. So, missing these quests could mean permanently missing out on exclusive gear, so it’s worth planning your hunting schedule around them!

How to Access Monster Hunter Wilds Event Quests

Accessing Event Quests in Monster Hunter Wilds is pretty easy to do. Follow these steps:

You can also access Event Quests from any Quest Board or from your Tent during other expeditions. The only requirement is meeting the Hunter Rank (HR) level for each quest.

Active Monster Hunter Wilds Event Quests

There are over 20 different quests available because of theFestival of Accord Flamefete. Here’s a list of all active Monster Hunter Wilds event quests that you can tackle right now:

1. An Inferno Laid Bare

Hunt Nu Udra in the Oilwell Basin to get you both hunter and Palico gear in one quest!

2. Putting Up a Stink

You fight multiple monsters in a row, but you get a unique weapon called Cornpopper (which looks exactly like a corn cob), plus another Alma outfit. It’s tough, but the rewards are worth it.

3. Pick Your Poison

Fight multiple monsters but get a whole diving-themed armor set plus matching Palico gear. Perfect for that underwater explorer look.

4. That Won’t Work on Me!

Fight a tough Xu Wu and get a cool eyepatch plus a new outfit for Alma. The eyepatch makes you look like a real veteran hunter.

5. Gravios Blockade

This heavily armored monster is slow but hits hard. Defeat it and you get special cooking ingredients that make your pre-hunt meals way better.

6. King of a Faraway Sky

Fight a super-strong Rathalos to get materials for Artian weapons. This quest runs longer than the others, so you have more time to get what you need.

7. Ballet in the Rain

This 5-star quest targets weapon customization fans. You’ll hunt a Tempered Lala Barina in the Scarlet Forest to get Glowing Orb – Swords for weapon decorations.

8. Sand-Scarred Soul

Similar to Ballet in the Rain, but for armor decorations. Hunt a regular Doshaguma to get the Glowing Orb – Armors.

9. Running Wild

Fight an electric Anjanath for some mysterious headgear that has good thunder resistance.

10. Kut-Ku the Forest Conqueror

Your Palico gets adorable woodland creature gear from this quest. It’s both cute and useful.

11. Kut-Ku Gone Cuckoo

A classic quest that gives you nature-themed headgear. The Yian Kut-Ku is pretty manageable for most hunters.

12. Like a Fire Hidden by Sand

Hunt the famous Rathian to get expedition-themed gear that ties into the main story. Good for newer players!

13. When Do Quematrice Sing?

Fight a bird-like monster for some really cute headgear. It’s not intimidating, but it sure is charming.

14. Daughters of Carabosse

Hunt two monsters for a beautiful flower-themed armor set. You and your Palico will both look amazing.

15. Three Tails Better Than None

Fight three monsters in a row for headgear that makes you look like a cat. It isn’t that hard, and it’s also surprisingly fun.

16. Chemicus Nocturnus

Easy quest for new players that gives basic crafting materials. Good starting point if you’re just getting into Event Quests.

17. Careening Out of Control

The easiest quest on the list. Perfect for brand new hunters who need armor upgrade materials.

18. Tongue-Tied

If you need to upgrade your armor, this 5-star quest is your best bet. You’ll face a Tempered Chatacabra in the Windward Plains, and the rewards focus on Hard Armor Spheres and Advanced Armor Spheres.

19. Anguish and Atrocity

This quest is great for players trying to boost their Hunter Rank fast. The Guardian Doshaguma gives tons of Hunter Rank Points, making it perfect for grinding levels.

Monster Hunter Wilds Free Challenge Quests

This is a brand new type of quest where you race against the clock to beat a monster. you’re able to use any equipment you want, and if you complete it, you get exclusive pendants.

1. The Daunting Downpour

A speedrun challenge for the most skilled hunters. This time, you need to beat and slay the Arch-tempered Uth Duna.

Permanent Monster Hunter Wilds Event Quests

These two Arch-Tempered quests are now permanent! That means you may fight the Arch-Tempered Rey Dau and Uth Duna whenever you want, without worrying about time limits. You’ll always be able to get those incredible γ armor sets, so there’s no pressure to rush through them.

1. A Silent Flash

This is the big one – an Arch-Tempered Rey Dau hunt that rewards the exclusive Rey Dau γ armor set (a top-tier endgame armor with unique skills you can’t get elsewhere). Arch-Tempered monsters are the toughest versions of regular monsters, with boosted stats and new attack patterns.

2. These Roots Run Deep

This one’s got an Arch-Tempered Uth Duna that’s learned some new tricks with roots and heart attacks. If you may beat it, you will get its armor set, which is some of the best defensive gear in the whole game.

Upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds Event Quests

There are two event quests waiting for you in the second week of August:

1. Wreaking Havoc in Wyveria

Fight a supercharged Guardian Fulgur Anjanath for armor upgrade materials. This quest starts after August 12th and gives you Hard Armor Spheres for powering up your gear.

2. Eldrich Enigma

Another post-August 12th quest where you fight a Tempered Xu Wu for massive Hunter Rank point rewards. Perfect for grinding levels quickly.
