In the history of manga, they have always been illustrated in black and white themes. Being bored of this monotonous presentation of the story, from time to time, fans have taken things into their own hands and have coloured the panels of the manga.

But with the new one-shot manga ofBleach, Tite Kubo has done something that no other shonen manga has ever tried to do. This special one-shot was released on June 30, 2025, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the series. Recently, the weekly shonen jump announced on Twitter that a digitally coloured version of the manga will be released, and fans haven’t been able to hold their calm since then.

What is the new Bleach One-Shot manga about?
For the occasion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series, this one-shot manga ofBleachwas released on August 11, 2025. This one-shot was titledBleach: No Breathes From HellorBleach: Howl From The Jaws of Hell.
According to Shueisha, the synopsis ofBleach: Special one-shot reads as follows:

“The long battle between the Shinigami and the Quincy has ended, and everyday life has returned to peace. One day, Ichigo receives a report from Abarai. It was news of participation in the ritual ‘Soul Funeral Festival’ held after the funeral of the captain who died in the war. Ichigo joins the vice-captains who have come to this world to prepare for the ceremony, but unrest is approaching without a sound…”
The storyline of the manga starts 12 years after the Great War and revolves around the lives of Ichigo Kurosaki and other Soul Reapers 12.

When is the new One-Shot of Bleach releasing?
On June 12, 2025, the official Twitter account of Weekly Shonen Jump announced the details of the digital release ofBleach: Special One-Shotcoloured version. The coloured version of the manga will be available from 02 June 2025 in digital stores. Fans can avail of Bleach: No Breathes From Hell from various digital stores across Japan like Amazon JP, Apple Books Jp, Ebook Japan, Comico, Honto, Renta!, ReaderStore, and more.

Will the digitally coloured manga get physical copies?
This digitally coloured version of this special one-shot manga will have 110 pages and be released on 28 June 2025. There hasn’t been an official announcement regarding releasing the physical copies of this manga. However, to say that it’s entirely out of the question would be presumptuous. Fans waiting to enjoy the physical copies of this special one-shot might have to wait a little longer.
