Apart from their fierce rivalry on and off-screen during the buildup from 2011 to 2012, which witnessed Johnson calling Cena,“The Rock’s B*tch”,Cena has nothing but nice to say about the Brahma Bull. But thePeacemakerstar did refuse to bring The Rock back to the WWE ring like he did a decade back.

John Cena believes that Dwayne Johnson has earned the right to choose his WWE future
FollowingDwayne Johnson‘s hiatus from WWE after he got he found his footing in Hollywood, John Cena called out the actor’s practice, which led to the iconic rivalry between the WWE veterans. But in recent years, John Cena has been pretty vocal about his respect for the Great One and hasn’t backed away from commending The Rock’s accomplishments. However, following Johnson’s contribution to WWE, Cena explained that The Rock has earned the right to choose whether he wants to return to the ring or not. He said,
“He’s earned the right not to be pressured into that choice. I can say he is a fan of the WWE. He is the most electrifying man in sports entertainment. So as a fan, I want to see one of the greatest performers of all time step back in the WWE ring. Yeah.”

Even though John Cena too expressed his desire to witness The Rock in action again, he clarified that he will not be the one to bring him back as he did in the early 2010s.

John Cena will not be the one to convince Dwayne Johnson to return to WWE
In recent years, John Cena has too blossomed into a successful Hollywood star but hasn’t shifted from his roots. Despite Cena’s busy schedule, the WWE superstar hasn’t brushed off the opportunity to return to the WWE ring and put other talents over. But despite his love for the business and desire to witness Johnson back in the ring again, Cena explained that he will not be the one to call The Rock to return. He further explained his reasoning by stating,
“But in no way am I gonna call him and if I’m gonna talk to him about something, it’s not gonna try to be to get him back in the WWE ring. He needs to come to that conclusion by himself.”

Although there hasn’t been any update from Dwayne Johnson’s side about returning to WWE, fans have been waiting to witness The Rock return for one more battle against Roman Reigns. Considering that theBlack Adamstar has been involved in some of the most iconic matches, involving the ones with Hulk Hogan and John Cena, it’s only fair that he also returns to face the current face of WWE.
