The actor would have joined the side of politics if not for his wife Jada Pinkett Smith who actively refused to support the actor’s run for the post of president. Stating that Will Smith could not run for president, Jada Smith gave the reason that nobody wants her as First Lady.

Jokingly stating in an interview with Variety, the actor stated that he would want to run for president provided that he can get an NBA championship before that. Talking about the political landscape at that timeWill Smithwanted to join politics very badly.
“Give me 10 years, and I’ll make it, provided I can squeeze in an NBA championship before that. As I look at the political landscape, I think that there might be a future out there for me,”

Jada Pinkett Smith revealed that her husband would never be elected the president since she the people did not want her to become First Lady of the United States.
“I told him that there’s no way he can run for President because nobody wants me as the First Lady,”

TheMen in Blackactor confirmed his wife’s sayings by agreeing that he isn’t exactly sure what she means by that.
“My wife has said on numerous occasions, ‘Hell, no,’ I’m not sure what she means by that, but that is what she said.”
