Thinking about this incredible shot of River Phoenix as young Indiana Jones when he gets the hat and it cuts to Harrison Ford as present day Indy in same hat
Nothing they do with ghoulish deaging or nightmare cgi now could look as good as thispic.twitter.com/vpo7cmykJr

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Much better than Crystal Skull. Deaging effect is 90% brilliant. If you don’t like Phoebe Waller-Bridge this won’t change your mind but I thought she was good.
Mangold knows how to send ageing heroes off in their last movies.

Harrison Ford on the#IndianaJonesdeaging: “The mouth is my mouth, the eyes are my eyes. The voice is me talking in a higher register because age lowers the voice, and the body language I had to act. But he moves like I move and I remembered.”

#IndianaJonesis very very good, the deaging of Harrison for the past is so good that it puts the actual actors to shame in a weird sense. Well worth a watch and not just because I’m biased

Since the technology gained popularity in Hollywood over the past few years, it has pulled in a lot of criticism. Many viewers claim that despite the effects’ striking uncanny and unsettling elements, they are unable to precisely portray the real thing.

Harrison Ford Supports De-aging Technology?
Yes, in the latestIndiana Jonesmovie’s flashback sequences, Harrison Ford defended the use of dealing technology. The 80-year-old star, who plays Indiana Jones, supported the choice to use ‘de-aging’ technology in some scenes of the latest installment of the franchise.
He will be reprising his role as the iconic action hero inIndiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny, his fifth outing, which is releasing tomorrow. However, there have been a lot of conflicting opinions expressed about the film thus far. Most particularly, the one scene where the actor is ‘de-aged’ for a flashback sequence using computer tricks is divisive.
Critics disagree on whether or not they like it, but it appears that the actor himself is a big fan of the new technology.During a press conference to promote this movie, he insisted:
“I know that that is my face. It’s not a kind of Photoshop magic — that’s what I looked like 35 years ago. Because Lucasfilm [the production company behind Indiana Jones and Star Wars] has every frame of film that we’ve made together over all of these years. And this process, this scientific mining of this library, this was put to good [use].”
Without a compelling narrative to back it up,The Fugitiveactor continued that the technology is“just a trick”and“sticks out like a sore thumb” if it is not“honest”and “emotionally real.”
“I think it was used very skilfully.”
Well, we can now only hope thatIndiana Jones5 will serve as a satisfying experience for its devoted audience. Also, hopefully, this last installment will uphold the legacy of its previous films.
The release date forIndiana Jones 5is set for tomorrow, August 09, 2025.
