Some movies contain such enthralling performances and powerful narratives that they stand the test of time and become true classics. One such movie was the five-Oscar-winning masterpieceThe Deer Hunter,which starred Christopher Walken. While this film did indeed solidify Walken’s legacy, it unintentionally had some contrasting effect on Oscar Isaac and ruined his enjoyment of the cherishedTransformersmovie series.

ButOscar Isaac‘s love for the belovedTransformers(film series) was actually destroyed by the gripping “Russian Roulette scene”ofThe Deer Hunter. During his earlier visit toLate Night with Seth Meyers, the actor, 44, admitted:
“That really made an impression. The whole Christopher Walken Russian Roulette scene.”
The actor went on to describe how that“Russian Roulette”scene affected theTransformerseries:
“I think after The Deer Hunter, Transformers was a little difficult to go back to.”
Critics and viewers alike gaveThe Deer Hunterhigh marks for Michael Cimino’s direction, the cast’s performances, the screenplay, the realistic themes and tones, and the cinematography.
