This is so rare of an occurrence that there was only one other superhero franchise that managed to achieve this. One would expect the answer to be something like Robert Downey Jr.’sIron Mantrilogy, or Chris Evans’Captain Americatrilogy, however, the answer is a series much older and more unexpected. His films, likeInception, Oppenheimer, Interstellar, andDunkirk, stand out in front of all films, being unique in a perfect way. In front of all these distinct films lay three movies that can be called most out of character for the filmmaker. So much so that he would never make something like this ever again.

In the world of psychologically complex, intellectually stimulating, science-fiction movies, stands Nolan’sBatmantrilogy. Three films about the Caped Crusader, gliding through the DC Universe, wearing the face of one Christian Bale.Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, andThe Dark Knight Rises, were all excellent film, turning into fan-favourites as soon as they hit the silver-screen.
