Salma Hayek Almost SpoiledEternalsDuring Comic-Con
Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for being tight-lipped about their projects before they get released. However, certain newcomers in Marvel Studios fail to realize the rules and regulations associated. Well, apparently MCU’s brand new addition Salma Hayek almost spilled secrets about herEternalsmovie.
Discussing the terrifying incident during her appearance onThe Graham Norton Show,Salma Hayekexplained the dangers of openly discussing a Marvel project. Moving on to what actually happened, the actress mentioned nearly spoilingEternalsat San Diego Comic-Con, years before it was released in theaters.
Reflecting upon her Mexican side, which makes her voice naturally loud, Salma Hayek recalled sitting alone with director Chloe Zhao, backstage. With no one around, the actress mentioned asking Zhao questions about the script, quite loudly. That’s when she was shushed by Zhao before she could spoil anything for Marvel.

Salma Hayek Was Petrified Of Chloe Zhao’s Weird Threats
During Comic-Con 2019, Marvel revealed their plans for Phase 4, which includedEternalsas its third release. Thus, Marvel Studios had to be quite secretive about Salma Hayek’s movie. However, the actress almost ruined MCU’s plan, until director Chloe Zhao gave a serious warning to Hayek.
“I remember talking to the director for the first time in a hotel where they do…Comic-Con! The whole thing was completely surreal. I’m talking to her and you know, I’m Mexican, I talk loud. And I start asking her questions and she’s like ‘Shhhhhh’”
Terrified of howChloe Zhaobehaved after Salma Hayek asked her simple questions, the actress mentioned getting some weird threats from the director. According to Hayek, Zhao was worried people might be pressing their ears against the wall to listen for spoilers. “They can hear us! And the script is secret! And I’m like, ‘But there’s no one here.’” the actress shared.
“Next door! You have to be very careful. Everybody knows that we’re talking about the new Marvel movie. They could be hearing on the walls” Hayek was warned by Zhao.
Later, the Mexican actress revealed how Zhao’s warnings were entirely true. “And she was serious! Because they really- they actually do it!” Hayek stated. However, she then confessed, “So it was really weird. But I love it now, I feel at home!” Eventually, Salma Hayek got habituated to being tight-lipped aboutEternalsand handled Comic-Con like a pro.
