Recently, when theInceptionmastermind was asked if he has the same approach to the physical edition of the movies, Nolan replied positively.
According to Christopher Nolan, it is the top-tier quality in the home video versions that appeals to him. The lack of control in streaming and the compression doesn’t impress him at all.
“There’s much less compression, we control the color, brightness, and all these things. Streaming is like broadcasting a film, we don’t have much control on how it goes out.”
The Oscar-nominated actor also added that possessing a Blu-ray gives more joy and satisfaction to the audiences. However it is not the first time, he has spoken about Blu-rays and how he always prefers those over streaming giants like Netflix. As much as he prefers Blu-rays and DVDs, it must be also understood that maximum of his streaming hatred also comes from their motive of delivering everything to the small screens. Nolan poses a sincere craftsmanship and he believes in the authentic theatrical experience.
