Galaxy Z Fold 3 Release Date
According to tipster Jon Prosser, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is likely to release onAugust 27for the U.S. and U.K. The speculated release date for the smartphone in India is around earlySeptember. However, it wouldn’t be surprising to see that date being pushed back to October due to the worldwide semiconductor shortage.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 Specifications and Features
Despite Samsung not announcing the new phone officially, the specs for the smartphone have popped up on Geekbench. The smartphone is running on Android 11 and powered by theSnapdragon 888 SoC. It will likely come with8GB/12GB of RAMwith expectedstorage of 256GB/512GBbased on the variant. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will feature a 6.23-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O cover display and a7.55-inch internal Super AMOLED foldable display.
It comes with S-pen support and will be the first Samsung device withan under-display selfie camera. This Under Panel Camera (UPC) will be a great replacement for the common ‘Punch Hole’ design. In total, it comes withfive cameras. Firstly, a12MP+12MP+12MP triple-camera setupon the rear, a 16 MP under-display selfie camera, and a 10MP selfie camera on the cover display.
The smartphone is expected to be powered by two separate batteries with a combined capacity of4,275mAh. It supports25W fast charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. Although the battery capacity is smaller than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, it will be slightly thinner and lighter. There is a chance that Samsung can market the battery size as 4,300mAh.
