Masashi Kishimotowas asked if theNarutoworld had means of communication, ways to watch videos, technologies, etc., which are not familiar to the samurai era. But there must be something that the creator was absolutely against from the beginning.

Kishimoto answered,” It would actually take too long to really go nitty-gritty into details, but for example: one of the things I focused on was that anything that’s NOT possible to recreate, or to do, using ninjustu, ninja skills, I would not develop for Naruto’s world. So no cars. Because they have shuriken, the throwing stars, there’s no guns either. So there were certain things I had clearly in my head that I didn’t want to have available in their worldview.”

Why Was Kishimoto Against The Use Of Technology InNaruto?

Masashi Kishimoto planned everything from the beginning. Even thoughNarutobelonged to a ninja world, it was adapted from the old Samurai-Era of Japan. There was no use of technology at that time. But he did not want to use cars and guns. He was against cars because ninjas have high stamina and durability. They can move faster on legs. As for the guns, there were shurikens, swords, ninjutsu, genjutsu, taijutsu, etc. He did not need any more weapons. Being a perfectionist, it was very well done by him.
