James Gunn Shrugs Off Fans’ Petty Complaints

Superman: LegacyisJames Gunn’sfirst major project in the rebooted DCU, as part of Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters. The announcement generated excitement among the fans as they finally expected to see Henry Cavill as Superman. However, much to the disappointment of the fans Cavill parted ways with the franchise, and David Corenswet is set to replace the actor.

The filmmaker had previously announced that Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, Mister Terrific, and Matamorpho would be a part of the film as well. As a result, fans started to complain and a fan asked him on Threads if the main character would get less screen time.

“James, don’t you think there is too many characters in Superman Legacy? I just feel like there wont be much time for Superman himself.”

Gunn gave an annoyed response to the fan and in the process, he dragged Jude Apatow into the conversation.

“I don’t understand this fear. There are less characters than in 40-Year-Old Virgin. Did you think Steve Carell got enough time?”

For Henry Cavill fans it is a sad year, asThe Suicide Squaddirector announced that Cavill will not be a part of the rebooted franchise. However, it looks like he is ready to switch ships by joining DC’s archnemesis Marvel.

Henry Cavill Addressed If He Will Join The MCU

Recently, a rumor started to circulate that Cavill will be a part ofLoki’sSeason 2 cast. Tom Hiddlestone’s Loki had a multiverse solo run in Phase 4, and Marvel decided to renew the TV Series for a 2nd season because of the positive response from the fans. There have been rumors regarding the new faces that fans would see in the upcoming season of the show.

One of the most popular rumors was thatHenry Cavillwould be a part of the series. TheEnola Holmesactor was present on theHappy Sad ConfusedPodcast with Josh Horowitz, where he addressed the rumor if he will be a part ofLokiseason 2, and if he will switch sides.

“As far as I know, I am not going to be in Loki… It would be a tricky one to handle at this stage… If James Gunn can do it, maybe I can too.”

About Gunn taking over the DCU, Cavill stated that he is“very excited about that.”Since the actor is not a part of any major franchise it is quite possible that he can join the MCU, as it was rumored that he will join Team Red as Captain Britain, or perhaps he can switch things a bit and play a negative role.
