Initially, when MCU announced its Fantastic Four movie in 2020, fans were highly excited about it and almost everyone wantedthe Officeactor to play the role of Reed Richards. Later whenDoctor Strange 2was released, Marvel dropped a series of mind-boggling cameos in the form of the Illuminati group without any prior notice, and among them, we finally found our favorite John Krasinski as Reed Richards.
The happiness was short-lived though as all the Illuminati Members were killed one by one by the Scarlet Witch and Reed Richards was reduced to spaghetti. Despite that, the fans expected him to return as Mister Fantastic again as the Reed Richards that was killed was a part of a different universe. Is Penn Badgley as Mister Fantastic
It is no doubt that Penn Badgley is an amazing actor, his work in theNetflix series YOUproves it. According to the fans, he is also young and would look accurate for that role. They went on to claim that if the rumors are true, and he is cast, then it will be an impeccable casting. And we have got some tweets that show how much the fans are excited about this rumor:

As much as I want John, if it’s not him. Penn would be a great choice and he’s younger! Watch You on Netflix if you’re unsure about his acting.

Even though John Krasinski was the first choice for Mister Fantastic still afterDoctor Strange 2, the character has got much criticism about how the smartest man alive took no second to reveal his ally Blackbolt’s mouth to Wanda only to get it removed in a bizarre scene. So the fans would love to see something fresh and more accurate in MCU as the proper Mister Fantastic.
With Jon Watts’ exit from the project, the director’s chair is also yet to be filled and as time passes, it would be interesting to watch who takes up the seats for the respective roles.
While the release date of the next MCU Fantastic Four movie is undisclosed yet, Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic can be spotted in Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness exclusively streaming on Disney+.
