Speaking withEntertainment Tonight, the actress, who plays Beth Dutton onYellowstoneexplained as to how scenes as her character with Jamie were not as easy to play out. Playing Beth, it is not easy for her character to like Jamie.

“They’re so filled with pain, so they’re pretty brutal,”she continued. “It’s hard to talk about it honestly, because when I’m playing her I’m full in… and then I watch it and I don’t even remember doing some of the scenes. I feel really bad for Jamie sometimes.”

Kelly Reilly Might Not be Wrong

Beth’s hatred for Jamie is more than justified. His character is portrayed as one who is meant to be hated because of his attitude and arrogance. However, for Beth it is personal. Jamie is the reason as to why she is infertile. Her hatred for him is rooted in every cell of her body and is justified to be so. Despite it all, Reilly cannot get herself to hate the character. What she feels for him is more pity than anything else.

Jamie as a person has grown up in a complicated setting. He is hated by his father, manipulated and prodded to become a person resented by all those around him. He is confused, guilt-ridden and suffering from the inside without truly being able to understand his own mind.
