The Marvelstrailer provides audiences with significant details, the most notable being the antagonist of the film, Dar-Benn. This character, played byZawe Ashton, is a Kree leader determined to seek revenge and destroyBrie Larson’s Carol Danvers. It is assumed that Carol Danvers was engaged in a war against the Kree in the 1990s, following the events of the first film.

Interestingly, the newly released teaser trailer features a scene where Carol Danvers is obliterating a machine of sorts, and fans speculate it to be the true form of Supreme Intelligence.Captain Marvelfailed to address this specific robot-like aspect of the original Kree ruler, opting not to make a big spectacle out of the supervillain. However, at the end of the first film, Carol Danvers promisedJude Law‘s Yon-Rogg that she would“come to end it”.

Several fans on X have pointed out this surprising detail. Some were excited about the depiction of the comic book-accurate version of the supervillain in the movie, while others have developed some wild theories. The wildest theory suggests some sort of connection between Miss Minutes inLokiand the Supreme Intelligence. Some fan reactions read:

Will Supreme Intelligence Have A Significant Role In The Film?

Zawe Ashton’s character, at one point in the trailer, addresses Carol Danvers as ‘The Annihilator’, leading fans to speculate that this is because she killed the Supreme Intelligence. Furthermore, theGuardians of the Galaxyfilm confirmed that Supreme Intelligence was no longer the Kree ruler. These pieces of evidence suggest that the scene in question is a flashback sequence and may be the only sequence featuring the villain.

Moreover, the annihilation of the Supreme Intelligence might have triggered Dar-Benn to wage a war of vengeance. Interestingly, Dar-Benn was gender-swapped from the comics to create a female-led cast for the movie. However, the pre-sales figures for the movie are looking rather disappointing, and it is also the shortest movie in the MCU.
