Sylvester Stallone, the man who the world knows as Rocky Balboa had a great idea for a sequel to one of his classic movies. In 1989, the actor starred alongside Marvel star Kurt Russell in the movie titledTango & Cashwhich was loved by audiences worldwide.

In recent news, Stallone wants to make a sequel to the 1989 hit and asked Kurt Russell to join him again in a reprisal of their roles. Kurt Russell is quite hesitant about the idea since according to his talks with Sylvester Stallone, the actor considers himself quite old and in his“unprime”now.

In 1989, the world was delighted to see Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell starring alongside each other inTango & Cash.With a genre of action/comedy, the story followed two police officers wrongly framed for a murder.

The film was very well received by the audience so much so that Stallone asked Kurt Russell to reunite for a sequel to the classic movie. In an interview, theRockyactor revealed that he is very excited to make a sequel toTango & Cashbut only if Kurt Russell were to return alongside him. As far as the details are concerned,The Thingactor has refused Stallone for a sequel and his reason is quite genuine.

According to Stallone, Kurt Russell denied the offer by stating that they were in their prime during that time (1989) but now they are old and will not be able to create as great of a movie as they did back then.

“I would do Tango & Cash in a second. I know, with Kurt [Russell], it’s not about a caper…it’s just us doing our thing. [But Russell said] ‘I don’t know, Sly…There we were in our prime and now we’re in our unprime, I dunno.’ So I said, ‘Kurt, I’m telling you, ya gotta go in on this.’ So he said, ‘I’ll talk to you when I get back.'”
